DONATE TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE

Everyone Can Plant a Tree

Planting Trees protect soil, trees shade your home, create windbreaks, and keep streams and rivers clean, while helping to fight climate change. Stop cutting trees instead plant more trees to restore these beautiful treasures for future generations to enjoy.

Forests cover only a small portion of the earth’s surface, and yet they provide habitat and food for nearly half of all known land-dwelling plant and animal species. They convert carbon dioxide to oxygen, provide us with new medicines, and protect many of the undiscovered wonders of our planet. Rain forests are a beautiful, vital part of life. They need our help.

What Else Can You do to Reduce Climate Change?

More Recycling is needed while fighting for climate change, You can save alot of carbon dioxide per year by recycling just half of your household waste.

DONATE TO HELP US REACH MORE CHILDREN

Thank you for your desire to donate and change the lives of children. Your gift helps children to access basic needs, education and health care.

Why should I Give?

Donate in order to help us;

  • Reach our and support families to rise above poverty
  • Provide basic needs such as food, shelter, clothes, pads and knickers to girls
  • Meet the education needs of children, such as tuition fees, books and other stationery, school uniforms, shoes, among other things
  • Provide families with more decent shelter and accommodation in order to restore their dignity
  • Buy resources required to reach out and empower children with life skills

Donate to Bring education within the reach of children

  • By donating, you are helping to bring education and basic needs within the reach of children whose dreams would have otherwise been suffocated. Many of the children we deal with are from poverty stricken families. Some are unable to attend school despite being of school-going age.
  • We have met children who, despite attending school, do not have books. Some children lack school uniform or have one school uniform which they wear all year round and have to patch it whenever it gets some damage. Some children do not have shoes and have to walk bare foot to school, which exposes them to the risk of catching diseases in addition to hurting their feet.

Donate to Help Families rise above poverty

  • With your generosity, we are able to provide entrepreneurship skills to parents of the children we deal, and in some cases, provide them with some startup capital in order to allow them to start up income generating activities that will enable them to get out of the trap of poverty.
  • We plan, in the near future, to start engaging women (single mothers in particular) in the making of arts and crafts. We also plan, in the long run, as and when funds allow, to start engaging them in agriculture.

Donate to Promote the general health and wellbeing of children

We have interacted with families where the parent or children are sick and required to take medication on a daily basis and the medication also requires that they have a decent meal in order to avoid adverse side effects, yet they can neither afford the medication, nor the food to eat for the proper functioning of the medication.

Donate to Promote the health and well-being of the girl child

  • A lot of times girls lack adequate knowledge on how to maintain good menstrual hygiene during their period. And for some, they cannot even afford knickers. Imagine a girl starting her monthly period without knickers and pads?
  • So we try to educate them on the subject of menstruation and good menstrual hygiene practices. We also provide pads and knickers to those who cannot afford.
  • We also intend to start engaging girls in the making of re-usable sanitary pads.

What can I donate?

There are a variety of things you can donate. Below are some of them to get you started.

Cash or money

This is the most obvious way to donate and is the most flexible as it allows us to allocate it the best way possible in order to meet our cause.

Educational materials

Here, we are mostly interested in things that will meet the educational needs of a child. We are looking at things like exercise books and other stationery.

Sanitary pads, Knickers and other girl stuff

Here, we mostly interested in items that are useful to girls, such as those will often need while undergoing their menstrual period.
